Hannah Sullivan started telling stories pretty much as soon as she could string together a coherent sentence. Back then, the characters had names like "Bouncing House" and "The Man Who Burnt His Bottom All The Time." It was pretty serious stuff. As an adult, her stories grew to encompass her children. To help her daughter get over her fear of thunderstorms, Ms. Sullivan came up with a reason for all the loud noise. There was this horse, you see, with big pounding hooves. He could run so fast, he actually flew through the air. And his name was Thunder. When Ms. Sullivan's daughter hit the double-digits, she asked for a "grown-up" version of the family Thunder stories. So, doing what any mom would do, Ms. Sullivan said, "Sure, why not?"  And started to write.  Her first novel, "THUNDER: The Shadows Are Stirring," is an Amazon bestseller. Her second- "FIVE WEEKS: a Lifetime," a memoir comprised of journal entries, letters and emails - is the legacy of one small boy's lifetime. It reached the bestseller lists, in both the US and the UK, just hours after it was published.

Letting Thunder free of my imagination, I stayed glued to the computer, trying to breathe like this was a normal day. Then it climbed the bestseller lists. I was amazed, and so, so thankful.

When Olivia Williams and her two younger brothers wake up from a car crash, they’re positive their world has changed. The talking horse is a big clue, and he has a lot to say.  According to Thunder, fairies, magic and good ol’ St Nick are all for real. On some level. Which would be incredibly awesome, but there’s a problem: A rift has formed between the layers of existence, and the evil Sliders are taking advantage of it—bringing violence, fear and hatred with them.

Now the three siblings are immersed in a tangle of reality and fantasy. One with trolls, freakish amphibians ... and town-devouring rats. Fortunately, help is on hand as Thunder introduces them to a world of Shifters and other powerful beings. Like Olivia’s very own Guardian, Ethan. Whom she actually does like. A lot. How could she not, when his job is to stand between her and death?

With humanity at stake, the Williams children must do more than accept the unbelievable. They must accomplish the impossible. The rift needs to be sealed and they're the only people alive with the potential to do it.

Reviews For FIVE WEEKS: A LIFETIME:

Ms. Sullivan opens her heart to the world in this poignant memoir, and the result is pure magic. For anyone who knows the frightening depth of parental love, for anyone who has experienced the staggering loss of a child, for anyone who has ever felt hopeless, or lost, or numb with despair - this story is for you. This memoir is love, in its purest form. It is grief. It is strength. And above all, it is hope.

So touching, so moving, so full of love. Hannah Sullivan takes us from the beginning of her pregnancy with Clinton, on through his life and his passing. It is an emotional journey filled with joys and great sorrow, but also filled with understanding and so much love.
— Amazon Reviewer
This just might be the most beautiful, heartwarming, life-affirming book I’ve ever read. EVER. I cried, I laughed, and in the end I was brought to my knees from the sheer beauty of its message.
— Amazon Reviewer
Ms Sullivan managed to take my breath away with her enchanted (and enchanting) story of her son’s short, sweet life. This true tale will wring plenty of emotion as it charts Clinton’s few weeks on this earth.
— Amazon Reviewer
Ms. Sullivan has written a remarkable memoir about her son’s short, yet meaningful life. A spiritually uplifting story!
— Amazon Reviewer
Yes, this is a story of unimaginable loss, but it’s also about joy and love so powerful you can’t help but feel good. I wish everyone who is dealing with tragedy could have this book by their side. It’s brilliant, uplifting, and inspirational.
— Amazon Reviewer
Anyone who has experienced loss will benefit from reading this story. Some stories dealing with grief can come off sounding too judgmental, too preachy. Instead, Five Weeks shares the story of Clinton in an easy to read format and offers you glimpses of the beauty of his life. Like a flower unfolding, the story of Clinton will make you smile, make you cry and then make you realize how beautiful all lives can be.
— Amazon Reviewer
This is such a wonderful gift of a book; it left me feeling that the world is a better place because these people are in it.
— Amazon Reviewer
It is a book with a heartbreaking loss, yes, but also a book that shares so much gained from a short life! It was actually the recounting of love and service and kindness that brought out the strongest emotions in me as I read. Remarkably beautiful.
— Amazon Reviewer
The story itself is as heart warming as it is heart breaking. The story of a short but memorable life that gives the reader hope and compassion.
— Inkspand Reviewer
This story is a beautiful reminder that life is precious and each and every person is placed on this Earth with a purpose.
— Amazon Reviewer
As a reader you can’t go through this 5 week long account of events - a lifetime - without being torn between love for the child and selfless act of liberation.
— Inskpand Reviewer
Full of tender moments, heartfelt exchanges, photographs, and an insight into the dedicated professionals working to save Clinton. A moving tribute.
— Amazon Reviewer
I love the lessons learned from the short life of this little one. Ms. Sullivan continues to impress me with her writing style and how she enables the reader to “see” what she describes, even in her journal.
— Amazon Reviewer
It is a nice example of a strong and loving family that managed to cope very well with a big loss and still managed to find love and positives into all they went through.
— Inkspand Reviewer
I suggest this wonderful & touchy memoir to everyone to know the pain of loss, situation of the parents who lost their child and to understand their feelings.
— Amazon Reviewer
It’s impossible not to relate to their struggles and hurt with them. I’m sure we have all experienced losses in our lives but there are some important lessons to be learned in reading this book.
— Amazon Reviewer
Ms. Sullivan beautifully illustrated the love, acceptance, and unity that little Clinton fostered in his family and so many others during his short, but meaningful, life here on earth.

Reviews for THUNDER:

The book itself was very well written. There were two story lines going on at once, and it flipped between them during the book. The way she wrote the book was intriguing; she wrote it from the characters first person point of view from each character. A character was basically the narrator of a chapter, then another character for another chapter. I thought it was fun because you got to know their thoughts, but you could still interpret the other parts of the story yourself.
The meat of the story was happening, but there were twists in it that you couldn’t see coming, and it kept you very interested in the book. In some parts that I thought didn’t matter in the story, something important later came out of them. I liked all the super-athletic, ninja-like action parts, and all the characters doing what they were gifted at.
In all, I really liked this book. It kept my attention, I could relate to it, it was fun. There was a lot of action, good amount of deep story, and relatable struggles that kept you connected to the book. I would recommend this book to others.
— Parker (16 years old)
I LOVED this book! Can’t wait for Book 2. My 11 yr. old daughter just started it, and is loving it as well. I would put this book up there with the Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia series. It is epic and captivating! I highly recommend it!

Thunder is an excellent story filled with adventure, intrigue, survival, and love of family ... The characters are well developed and the author shows the wonderful relationship between Olivia, James, and Samuel and later their friend and Guardian, Ethan. This book can be enjoyed by readers of all ages.
— Amazon Reviewer
When I found this book on the bestsellers list I was actually looking for my children as they need books to read over the summer. After reading the excerpt I knew they would love it. What I didn’t expect was for me to love it, too. I started reading right after I downloaded it and pretty much didn’t stop until I was finished.
— Amazon Reviewer
Rich in characters, settings, and action, this book surprised me over and over. I found myself cheering for the young heroes and heroine and wholeheartedly believing the themes of hope through sorrow and courage through doubts.
— Amazon Reviewer
Ms. Sullivan is a creative literary force. Love, love, love her writing style! Many stories leave the reader to conjure up the mental images to accompany the words, however, Ms. Sullivan paints the picture so vividly with her words that none would be disappointed by a movie version (you know the old tug of war....which is better, the book or the movie?). It became clear to me in the very earliest chapters that this would, in fact, make an excellent movie and I hope to see it on the big screen. Hollywood, are you listening?
— Amazon Reviewer
Thunder was a pure joy to read. I was gripped from the first page. Thunder has the full of my heart. Olivia is such a lovable lead, yet every single character has something unique and special to offer. The writing is so rich and delicious, the messages deep and thought-provoking. This author’s descriptions made me smile and continue to feel warm inside through every page.
— Amazon Reviewer
This book was great read! I had a very hard time stopping once I would start reading. The rich description and attention to detail suck you right into the story with the characters. I bought the kindle version as well as a hard copy for each of my daughters.
— Amazon Reviewer
Thunder will grab you from the moment you start reading with the power of its imagery. The world Ms. Sullivan has created is vivid. The characters are strong and well-developed; good fictional friends for your children as well as for you. This book is a good one for the entire family to read and discuss over the summer.
— Amazon Reviewer
This book moved me. On so many levels. Within pages, you care deeply for this wonderful girl and her two brothers and they don’t let go until - well I can’t tell you - they haven’t let go yet.
— Amazon Reviewer
“This is the author’s first book, you say? Get out, I say! Ms. Sullivan has created a story that truly shines.

The plot is complex and thought provoking, the characters clearly developed and the message beautiful. I can’t wait for the next installment, and hope Ms. Sullivan doesn’t keep us waiting for too long.
— Amazon Reviewer
This is a story my children will be reading, when they’re old enough. And I know they will love it. I think this is an instant classic, a story that anyone, at any age, could read and fall in love with. I know I did!
— Amazon Reviewer
The characters themselves I found easy to like and care about. I liked how they didn’t really have super powers of sort, but rather traits and roles they will have to full fill - like Seeker, Leader and so on. This is another part of the book I now experience differently than how I would have as a kid. The story manages to get through some lessons, without being too obvious or annoying (because I simply hate when I book told me how I am suppose to act or think). Here the characters were used for examples and the lessons were left to sink in. I particularly liked the idea that just by being kind, you can bring change to the world. It was good to see that sometimes characters where scared, weak, and doubtfull, and that they admitted it and still stood their ground in the end.
— Inkspand Reviewer
This book gets your attention right from the beginning! Action packed! Loved the characters, especially Ethan and Olivia! Right from the start, the book cover draws you in and captivates you. Well done! Can’t wait for more!
The story of these children’s adventures as they did what they had to do to deal with what they encountered was always surprising and creative. I was transfixed to the end.
— Amazon Reviewer
The story is magical and packed with adventure. The children are wise and strong and thoughtful. They bounce back over and over again and persevere through every unique obstacle. I agree with other reviewers that the book is captivating and full of surprises. Riveting!

Suppose you have a teacher who knows the secret of life. A teacher who can show you what it takes to live to the fullest, to love until your heart bleeds out—to have it all, and then to let it all go. Now, suppose your teacher is only five weeks old.

When the Sullivans are told their unborn child has a congenital heart defect, they have no idea where the news will lead them. Their dreams of bedtime cuddles and soft baby coos give way to the incessant beeping of hospital machinery and the sharp smell of antiseptic. With two young children in tow, the uprooted family takes an unexpected journey discovering the truth of love, sorrow, and ultimately, the gift of life.

This true story—comprised of journal entries, letters, and emails—is the legacy of one small boy’s lifetime.

Five Weeks: a Lifetime on Amazon Bestseller Lists:

Five Weeks is me, my family, my son, on display. I wasn’t sure what people would think, but I wanted Clinton’s story of love and strength to spread far and wide. And its journey has begun.
